Riparian Buffer Planting

IMG_0099.JPG

Forested banks along streams, rivers and lakes are imperative to protecting water quality and providing quality wildlife habitat. Forested buffers provide nutrient fixing, shade to maintain lower water temperatures, flood mitigation, wildlife habitat/travel corridors and are aesthetically pleasing.

Birdseye evaluates the soils, natural community types and local vegetation to develop a planting program using native, locally sourced trees and shrubs. Tree protectors can also be implemented to protect from wildlife for the first few years.
